The IT Business Analyst acts as the intermediary between IT and the business client to gather business requirements and map those requirements to technical requirements using a structured process; maintaining a well-rounded knowledge of the system to guide design and ensure solutions deliver value. Additionally, the IT Business Analyst works with business partners to rollout and test solutions and transition knowledge to the support teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business users to understand processes, needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical resources to create a design based on defined requirements and business needs.
  • Assist with testing custom development, upgrades and configuration changes to ensure solutions function as specified.
  • Work with technical resources and business partners to coordinate and communicate deployment of solutions and business process enhancements.
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve problems and recommend enhancements to business processes.
  • Conduct process and data flow analysis and create appropriate documentation to support business proposals.
  • Assist in assessment and validation of potential and actual solutions.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is created and available in any appropriate knowledgebases, to the Support Team and to end users during transition to operations.
  • Maintain knowledge of advances in features and functions of ERP systems in order to guide business partners in implementing functionality to advance business processes.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, required; 3 years of experience, preferred
  • Skilled in Dynamics 365 and the ability to hold in-depth business discussions with users
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to express complex technical concepts and design and document system needs
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills with the ability to take an innovative approach to business problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team, sharing knowledge and expertise
